FAQ

Does Pocket do everything RIDER does?
No. RIDER is a handheld with GNSS and optional LTE. Pocket is a color-screen cooperative Remote ID receiver. Add USB GPS ($59) or the $179 kit if you need a time/place stamp. Quiet is not a clearance.
Will either unit see a dark aircraft?
No. If the aircraft is not broadcasting Remote ID, neither Pocket nor RIDER has a message to decode. RIDER’s own FAQ says the same.
Do you jam or take over?
No. Dark Sky Systems LLC is receive-only. No jam. No spoof. No take-over.
What about RIDER Connect?
Connect is a subscription on their handheld. Pocket has no yearly radio plan. Field Pad is a $5,900 device we build if you want the map and spectrum.
